Room 2068 ERF Wednesday, March 18, 2015 1:00pm - 2:00pm Timothy Johnson, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Public Administration in the UIC College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs and the director of the UIC Survey Research Laboratory. His main areas of expertise include survey methodology and health behaviors in disadvantaged populations. Dr. Johnson will present methodologies for the design of surveys and user studies as they relate to overall research design. Dr. Johnson's written numerous papers concerned with various aspects of survey methods, and has edited or co-edited three books, including: Hard to Survey Populations (2014), Handbook of Health Survey Methods (2014), and Survey Methods in Multinational, Multiregional and Multicultural Contexts (2010). He has also served previously as Standard Chair for the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) and as President of the Midwest Association for Public Opinion Research (MAPOR), and currently leads the Coordinating Committee for AAPOR’s Transparency Initiative.
